OFF-RECORD

OFF-RECORD

a quiet LOOK into how I SEE and REMEMBER. each VISUAL DIARY, a piece of TIME gently RECORED.

VISUAL DIARIES - ENTRY SIX.

if i had to define the kind of photography/videography i love the most, it would be this. moments like these: simple, human, elegant. there’s a softness to it, a kind of luxury that doesn’t scream — it whispers. it’s in the way simple scenarios come alive when you’re really paying attention.

this video — these frames — they’re the way i try to see the world when i have a camera in my hand. and i think that’s the concept I’m most passionate about: making even the most curated or stylized moments feel grounded. real life, real things, real people — seen with care.

even if a project is far from this in theme or setting, i always try to bring this essence into it. because i believe that feeling — that elegant truth — can live anywhere, if you know how to look for it.

VISUAL DIARIES - ENTRY TWO.

i’ve always wanted to show people the behind the scenes of the projects i’ve done — the atmosphere, the energy on set, the moments in between. to me that’s what makes it all feel honest and human.

this short visual diary is a glimpse into the project i created for a brand’s capsule called “SER” — which in spanish means to be, i immediately connected with the name and its simplicity.

we shot in a house that had this magical natural light and spaces that felt cinematic without trying too hard. that made the concept flow with ease. i was especially inspired by vogue korea editorials — the softness, the elegance, and that balance between fashion and emotion. it was a huge reference point for how i approached the direction.

the model was a key part of everything. she understood the importance of movement — not overly posed, but intuitive, aware of the light and the space around her. when that happens, something just clicks. you stop overthinking and start capturing.

i genuinely believe that in fashion, you don’t need a lot to show depth and humanity. you need intention. you need connection — between the idea, the team, and the moment you’re in. and when all of that aligns, the camera stops being a tool and becomes an extension of how you see the world.

i live for this — where elegance doesn’t cancel out reality, where something feels luxurious but still true. that’s what i hope to keep creating.

VISUAL DIARIES - ENTRY THREE.

there’s something i really enjoy about traveling to capture a project — especially when i get to observe the day in pieces, with no pressure to tell the whole story. just fragments. glimpses.

this diary isn’t about the event itself, even though that was the reason i was there — the launch of a new product for vélez colombia. instead, it’s a quiet visual note of the day that surrounded it: the first thing my eyes saw in the morning, the lighting through windows a morning airport appointment brings, the way the place looked before people arrived, a nice treat after working various hours…

i love documenting these transitions — how a simple moment between one location and the next becomes part of the energy of the project. it’s not always about the product. sometimes, it’s about the feeling of arriving somewhere new with a camera in hand and letting the atmosphere guide what you notice.

no voiceovers, no full-day recaps. just images. texture, space, light.

came back home to edit and relive it all over again.

that’s part of the process too.

VISUAL DIARIES - ENTRY FIVE.

this project happened a couple of years ago, but i always come back to it.

it marked something important — the beginning of a new path. a reminder of what happens when passion leads, even when no one is asking you to show up. i wasn’t hired to document anything. i paid to be there, just like everyone else.

it was a group trip to new york, curated by a great brand and agency — the kind that wants to create connection, not just content.

from day one, i had my camera with me. not to prove anything. just because i couldn’t help t document everything — the streets, the people, the stillness between places, the shared energy.

by the end of the trip, both the brand and the agency asked me to create the recap of the whole experience. they saw the story i had captured — one they hadn’t planned, but that felt like a natural extension of what they were trying to build.

this became one of the first projects that made me realize: “this is what i’m meant to do.” — to observe, feel, and translate life through a lens — to create something from instinct, and have it resonate.
